/ 01 Overview

A VR workplace simulation for people with disabilities, featuring office and factory environments, interactive tasks, and speech recognition. I served as the sole software developer for this project. I also developed a reusable task system to support the addition of new simulation scenarios.

The project was showcased at a career fair organized by New Taipei City’s Labor Affairs Department. During this event, I found that our task designs did not accommodate different accessibility needs, even though this project met every requirement of the clients’ needs. Our tasks required users to use both hands to complete the task, while one of the visitors had only one hand. This experience made me realize the importance of evaluating interaction requirements with diverse users before deployment.
